What we can work on

Bring the thing that's been bugging you.

Each lesson is built around your own questions and your own device.

ChatGPT and AI, safely

Ask good questions, get useful answers, and know what never to type into an AI tool.

Spotting scams

Fake texts, pop-ups and "your account is locked" emails. Learn the warning signs and what to do instead.

Video calls with family

Zoom, Google Meet and WhatsApp: joining a call, muting, and seeing the grandkids clearly.

Email and photos

Sending pictures, finding old messages, and keeping your inbox and photos organized.

Everyday phone and tablet skills

Reading comfortably, texting, searching the web, and feeling at ease with the apps you already use.

Passwords you control

Set up a password manager that only you can open, so you stop resetting passwords.

How it works

Three simple steps.

  1. Free 15-minute Tech Check

We make sure you can join a video call and talk about what you want to learn. If video is tricky, we sort it out together by phone.

  2. Your first lesson

A full hour on your top priority, over video. If I can't help, you don't pay.

  3. Keep going if you like

Book single lessons or a pack. You get a short written recap after every lesson to practice with.

Prices

Clear prices. No membership. No surprises.

Video lessons are 60 minutes, one-on-one. In-person lessons are 90 minutes at your home.

Scammers copy real companies. In a lesson, we practice spotting the clues together until it feels automatic.

My promises to you

Real tech help never works like a scam.

In 2025, Americans 60 and older reported over a billion dollars in losses to tech-support scams, according to the FBI. Here is how I work, in writing.

  • I never ask for your passwords. You type them yourself. I look away while you do.
  • I never take control of your computer.Over video, you share your screen and keep the mouse. In person, your device stays in your hands.
  • I never ask for gift cards, crypto or wire transfers.Payment is by card through a secure booking page, and only for lessons you choose.
  • I never call you out of the blue.I only contact you about lessons you booked, or to return your call or text.
  • I never touch your bank or money accounts.I can explain how an app works, but I don't log in or move money.
  • Family is always welcome.Invite a son, daughter or friend to any lesson.

For families

Helping a parent from near or far.

Many lessons are booked by a son or daughter. Here's how that works.

You can book and pay

Book in your name and add your parent's email so they get the lesson invite. Lesson packs make a good gift.

Join any lesson

Sit in on video lessons from your own home, wherever you live, or be there for an in-person visit.

Recaps, with their OK

Your parent gets a short written recap after each lesson. With their permission, I'll send you a copy too.

The same teacher every time

Your parent works with me, Ji, each lesson, under the written promises above.

About me

Hi, I'm Ji.

I've spent years helping people with technology, from one-on-one support to keeping business computer systems secure. My favorite part is the moment something finally clicks. I started Computer Help Together to give people a patient teacher they can count on.

Questions

Good questions people ask.

Can I buy lessons for my mom or dad?

Yes. Book the pack in your name and add your parent's email for the lesson invite. You're welcome to join any lesson too, from your own home if you live elsewhere.

Do you come to my home?

Yes, in Goleta and Santa Barbara. In-person lessons are 90 minutes for $129, travel included. Call or text (820) 842-4412 to pick a time. Family members are welcome to be there.

What do I need for a lesson?

A computer, tablet or smartphone with a camera and an internet connection. You'll get a Google Meet link by email, and we test it during your free Tech Check.

What if I can't get the video call working?

That's what the free Tech Check is for. If video won't connect, we work through it together by phone first.

Do you fix or set up devices?

No. I teach you how to use your technology; I don't repair, troubleshoot or set up devices. If something seems broken, I'll suggest contacting the company that made it or a trustworthy local shop.

What's your cancellation policy?

Reschedule or cancel for free up to 24 hours before a lesson. Unused lessons in a pack are refundable.
